Trent to say farewell in style!

The final day of the Premier League is here and that normally means entertaining matches where games produce more goals than previously during the season. That is the case traditionally in games where there isn’t anything substantial on the outcome of the game. In this already incredibly exciting season in terms of goals being scored by both teams in games, we could be in for an incredible final day’s fireworks.

This is the final game for Klopp and it’s great for all connected to the club that it takes place at Anfield. The Reds host Wolves and there is likely to be a desire in the home team to give the boss a fantastic send off. There is no change in finishing position available for Klopp’s men while theoretically Wolves could jump several places into the top half with a win and results going for them elsewhere. That final finishing position and/or pride doesn’t seem to have been much of an incentive to the Black Country team though as they’ve finished the season horribly. It’s been 1 win, 2 draws and 7 losses in their last 10 outings.

It’s hard to see that form improving here but Liverpool are very short odds at 1.16 with LeoVegas so we won’t advise a straight bet there. We’ll have to explore other markets to find a value bet. The first place we have identified a bet is the Player Shots On Target market.

Anfield farewell

Trent Alexander-Arnold is always full of praise for Klopp and says he owes everything to him. He’s also a proud Scouser and Liverpool fan who will be looking to send his gaffer off on a high-note. We think the ball will spend most of the time around the Wolves goal and Liverpool will register 20+ shots comfortably. The first bet we have identified is Trent Alexander-Arnold to have a shot on target at 2.25 with Bet365.

The next bet that makes appeal would have to be centred around goals. The season averages, the amount of goals seen at Anfield and the nature of this final day fixture all point towards this being an open affair with entertainment high on the agenda. Liverpool goals specifically are appealing and we think it’s worth taking a shot at over 3.5 home goals at 2.63 with BetfairSportsbook.

No matter how the game ends, the ground and the Premier League will bid farewell to a big personality who has been an excellent manager of Liverpool over the last decade.
