Recent reports indicate that, contrary to rumours, Ratcliffe has expressed a strong commitment to the club’s historic home. Despite Old Trafford’s aging state, which has prompted discussions about the feasibility of a new £1.5 billion stadium, Ratcliffe has made it clear that he has no intention of abandoning the Theatre of Dreams.

The initial phase of Ratcliffe’s plan involves a comprehensive facelift for Old Trafford, addressing key infrastructure challenges. Once this refurbishment is underway, the billionaire owner is expected to explore options for potential expansions to the stadium’s capacity in the future.

A lifelong Manchester United fan, Ratcliffe had previously affirmed his dedication to the club’s heritage earlier this year, stating that he would not consider renaming Old Trafford under his ownership.
